Who we are
A&A is an association of highly qualified and recognised advisors in the field of participatory capacity building. It uses the Farmer Field School (FFS) approach; a group-based experiential learning process.
We are based in the Netherlands, but our expertise is mainly rooted in FFS experiences in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
We are member of NEDWORC Association, an organisation of Dutch international development consultants, and subscribe the NEDWORC code of conduct
What we want
We strive to support the development of local capacity in underprivileged communities to improve their quality of life by applying the FFS approach.
We are convinced that communities have potential to improve their own livelihood and take responsibilities for their living environment. We respect the resilience, expertise and knowledge of the community and individuals and want to use this as valuable capital upon which to further build their development.
We recognise the right of target groups to get quality service. We value equity and equality of all stakeholders and are particularly interested in the involvement of women, youth, disabled people and people with HIV/AIDS.
